THEATER/DRAMA TEACHING OPPORTUNITY!!   

Project GEM (nonprofit out reach youth education program)
Theater/drama education teaching positions available for next fall
Location: St. Peter   
Starting date: Week of Sept. 13th, 2010
Stipend paid position.  2 hrs/wk (M-F). (pick your day and hour to teach between 10:30 am-1:30 pm)
Class site: 9 youth total per classroom, alternative/special needs middle school, ages 11-16 yrs. old 
(special needs can be but not limited to: ADD (attention deficit disorder),  EBD (emotional behavior disorder), ODD (oppositional defiant disorder), mild autism, limited reading and writing skills.  
Staff is present  in the room when the college student is teaching.  Theater supplies are available through the program. 
Requirements: 
Must have transportation available to the site in  St. Peter
Have completed some courses in teaching
This position is for a college student  who is working towards receiving a degree in at least one of the following areas:
Special and/or Secondary Education
Theater/drama and/or Theater arts Education
This will give a college student an opportunity to gain hands-on experience in the classroom and apply it towards field experience on a resume`.    

Project GEM will consider only college students that are:
responsible and reliable 
have an interest in working with youth
passion for teaching theater drama

MUSIC ED. TEACHING OPPORTUNITY!!

Music Education teaching position available this fall~
This will give a college student an opportunity to gain hands-on experience in the classroom and apply it towards field experience on a resume`. 
Location: St. Peter  
Starting date: Week of Sept. 13th, 2010
Stipend paid position.  1 hr/wk (M-F). (pick your day, but your teaching time must be from 11am-noon)
St. Peter site: special needs HS age school
Age: 14-18 yrs. old 
Classroom size: 8 total
(special needs can be but not limited to: ADD (attention deficit disorder),  EBD (emotional behavior disorder), ODD (oppositional defiant disorder), mild autism, limited reading and writing skills.  
Staff is present in the room while college student is teaching
There will be no chorus or singing 
Lesson plans will focus on cultural & historical musical genres
Music appreciation and various muscial insturments 
Requirements: 
Must have transportation available to the site in  St. Peter
Have completed some courses in teaching
This position is for a college student  who is working towards receiving a degree in one or more areas:
Special Education
Music Education
Elem. or Secondary Education
Project GEM will consider only college students that are:
responsible and reliable 
have an interest in working with youth
passion for teaching music appreciation
