Creative After Thoughts

Creative After Thoughts targets special needs youth interested in developing their creative self-expression through the art media during non school hours. We use various hands-on projects that focus on cultural and environmental arts and appreciation for various art forms. Youth may use this art class as credit for their school hours if needed. Our Creative Youth Show is held in April where youth display their art work for the community to view their creativity and self-expression.
Project G.E.M.(Growth, Experience, Motivation) is a nonprofit organization designed to assist and guide youth in the development of their creative abilities through a wide variety of program activities. Since 1993, Project G.E.M. has been providing creative programs to special needs youth by filling an educational gap for more learning opportunities. Project G.E.M. focuses on cultural, environmental, and holistic/social education.
Note: A signed parental/guardian and contact release form is required for youth attending the class. These forms are only available through our community partners within that county. Community partners are: School social workers, family service providers, mentoring/big buddy programs, Human Service agencies, etc.
Project GEM is not responsible for transportation. Students must reside in that county the class is held to be eligible.
