Project GEM Classes Offered
Creative art education
*Art class activities are various forms of hands-on projects completed by the youth.
*Our goal is to fill an educational arts curriculum by teaching the following:
-Appreciation and understanding of cultural arts
-Creating art projects using pottery, ceramics, paintings, sketching, crafts, etc.
-Cultural and historical art using various types of art media.
-Learning how to develop self-expression through basic art education
-Potential careers in the art related field
Creative writing education
*Creative writing class activities helps youth express themselves through writing.
*Our goal is to improve the student’s reading and writing skills using:
-Creating short stories with thought provoking themes
-Cultural historical periods through poetry and literature
-Expressing ideas on paper using different creative writing methods
-Free thought writing games
-Multi-learning writing exercises
Creative music education
*Music class activities teach youth to appreciate & understand different types of music.
*Chorus will not be offered in this class.
*Our goal is to learn through sound by offering the following:
-Different composers & their song lyrics 
-Historical periods of music then and now
-Importance of harmony & rhythm
-Making a cultural musical instrument
-Musical genres & what they contribute
